Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a passion for hospitality. The Server plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of the dining area while providing memorable service that encourages repeat visits.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately through cashiering functions
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure timely service
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns or special requests with professionalism
- Follow all sanitation and food handling procedures to uphold health regulations
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards within the food industry
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with food handling, preparation, and hospitality best practices
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $17.85-$21.00 per hour
