The Face Station under CMU College of Makeup Art and Design specializes in professional makeup products. We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Sales Associate / Makeup Artist to sell makeup products and provide professional makeup application services to customers. Commission will be paid for makeup services performed.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Recommend and sell makeup products based on customers’ needs, skin types, and preferences.
- Explain and demonstrate product features, benefits, and application techniques.
- Provide professional makeup application services for special events and other occasions.
- Provide hairstyling services when qualified and required.
- Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation of makeup tools, testers, and workstations.
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately.
- Maintain attractive product displays and restock merchandise.
- Work toward individual and store sales targets.
- Stay informed about new products, makeup techniques, and beauty trends.
- Keep the store and service areas clean and organized.
- Answer incoming telephone calls professionally, respond to general inquiries, and transfer calls to the appropriate person or department.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail sales or customer service experience is required.
- Professional makeup application experience is a strong asset.
- Makeup artistry training or certification is an asset.
- Hairstyling skills or relevant experience would be an additional asset.
- Knowledge of professional makeup products and current beauty trends is preferred.
- Strong sales, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, reliable, professional, and customer-focused.
