Job Overview
We are seeking strong warriors to join our motivating team as a Skilled Labourer in a fast-paced wood flooring and lumber production environment. The ideal candidate are those who have a strong work ethic, strong problem solving skills, are detailed oriented, reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and production of wood flooring
- Safely use power tools and production equipment
- Safely and accurately measure and cut wood
- Perform general labor tasks such as safely lifting, pushing, and moving materials to facilitate project progress
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing materials and debris
- Follow instructions and procedures related to production and safety
- Contribute to team efforts by demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude in completing various assigned duties
Experience
- REQUIRED: Can safely operate power tools
- REQUIRED: Can accurately use and read a measuring tape
- REQUIRED: Must be able to safely lift and move materials that are 50 lbs at minimum
- PREFERRED: Prior experience in woodworking, construction, manufacturing, and/or industrial production environments
- PREFERRED: Forklift certification
