Personal Bookkeeper Required – North Vancouver, BC
We are seeking a highly organized, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Personal Bookkeeper to manage our personal and holding company finances.

- Time Management – Meets deadlines for financial reporting, CRA filings, and payment obligations.
- Communication Skills – Clearly explains financial information and recommendations to David and Eltie.
- Adaptability – Responds effectively to changing financial circumstances and requirements.
Responsibilities
Financial Administration
- Review the existing filing system and determine whether it meets future requirements.
- Develop and implement an improved filing system where necessary.
- Scan and organize pertinent documents into a digital record-keeping system.
- Maintain accurate records for personal and HoldCo financial activities.
Monthly Financial Management
- Prepare monthly expense reports, including outstanding and pending transactions.
- Monitor all bank accounts, lines of credit, and investment-related transactions.
- Review Lines of Credit (LOCs) and identify any actions required regarding capital expenditures.
- Ensure automatic payments and subscriptions (e.g., Telus, Apple, utilities, insurance, etc.) are paid on time.
- Monitor and pay outstanding credit card balances to avoid interest charges.
Tax and Compliance
- Coordinate with our accountant regarding required CRA instalment payments.
- Process CRA instalments for Owners, and the HoldCo as instructed.
- Organize and prepare year-end documentation and receipts.
Year-End Reporting
- Compile annual receipts and supporting documentation for:
- Donations
- Medical expenses
- Dental expenses
- Other eligible tax-deductible or tax-exempt expenses
- Prepare year-end summaries for Owners, and the HoldCo.
- Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning for the upcoming year.
Preferred Experience
- Personal or family office bookkeeping experience.
- Experience managing finances for incorporated companies and holding companies.
- Knowledge of Canadian tax requirements and CRA procedures.
- Experience working with accountants and financial advisors.

Engagement
Part-time / Contract (hours to be determined based on experience and workload).
Compensation: Competitive and based on qualifications and experience.
