Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver product to destination in a safe manner.
- Load and unload freight on a regular basis
- Complete circle checks of vehicles daily before driving and complete daily logs as required.
- Ensure proper usage of straps/ropes/strapping/banding and tie downs to minimize damage in transportation.
- Fill packing slips in order, taking into consideration priority shipments and delivery times.
- Maintain cleanliness and support janitorial duties including but not limited to sweeping and emptying garbage’s on the shop floor.
- Place shipments in appropriate staging area
- Support Shipping and Receiving Department and comply with EDI requirements.
- Follow all safety protocol in compliance with MDG Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all Safety protocol of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid DZ license
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Experience in a warehouse environment, shipping/receiving, driving, etc.
- Previous forklift and Crane experience
- Team-player and ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and housekeeping skills
- Proven skills in accuracy and attention to detail
- General knowledge of computers, email, MS, Excel, typing skills, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Contract
Contract length: 6-12 months
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
