Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Shipping Co-ordinator to support our daily shipping operations. This is an administrative position in an office environment and therefore not only requires shipping experience, an administrative background is also required. This in-person role works closely with Sales and Warehouse teams to coordinate shipments, obtain carrier quotes, prepare shipping documentation, and ensure orders are processed accurately and on time. The working hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-3pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive shipment details based on estimated dimensions and weight.
- Obtain shipping quotes from available carriers.
- Review shipping options and provide the most cost-effective and efficient pricing to the Sales team, noting that costs are based on estimates and subject to change.
- Complete shipping confirmations with selected carriers.
- Process sales orders accurately in Spire (our software).
- Prepare, print, and organize all required shipping documents, including packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
- Notify the Warehouse team when shipping documentation is ready.
- Communicate any shipping issues, delays, or discrepancies to the appropriate salesperson in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent command of Spoken and Written English is essential
- Previous shipping, logistics, or order processing experience required
- Administrative experience is necessary
- Familiarity with shipping carriers and freight services is a plus.
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
