Overview
We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of garage doors and openers. This role requires a strong understanding of construction and mechanical systems, along with the ability to read schematics and blueprints. The Garage Door Technician will be responsible for providing high-quality service to our customers, ensuring safety and functionality of garage systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction, carpentry, or related trades to apply their skills in a specialized field.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors and openers according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete installations and repairs
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately perform tasks
- Perform routine inspections to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Conduct caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing to ensure durability and energy efficiency
- Assist with restoration projects involving garage door systems and related structural components
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and adhere to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and construction techniques
- Knowledge of carpentry, caulking, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and construction painting is a plus
- Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints accurately
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in restoration or construction-related trades
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various outdoor conditions

Pay: $24.39-$44.49 per hour
