Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, creating a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage appointment scheduling using Dom X dental practice management software
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls efficiently and courteously
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments accurately
- Maintain organized patient records, including medical terminology documentation and treatment notes
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and correspondence related to dental and medical records
- Support the clinical team by coordinating patient flow and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete before procedures
Skills
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting with strong office experience
- Familiarity with Dom X practice management software, medical records, and Medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills for handling multi-line phone systems and patient interactions
- Strong organizational abilities to manage schedules, records, and administrative tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical staff
- Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and familiarity with front desk operations in healthcare environments
- Knowledge of dental office procedures and administrative best practices to ensure smooth clinic operations
