A significant component of the role includes case management and care coordination, with a strong emphasis on engaging both children/youth and their families within a recovery-oriented model of care. Collaboration is a key aspect of this position. The MHT will regularly liaise with Psychiatrists, Emergency Room and Consultation Psychiatry teams, the Psychiatrist on-call, as well as external partners such as EPS, RCMP, and other community agencies. Strong knowledge of both facility-based and community resources is essential to support effective assessment, service navigation, and appropriate referral pathways.
