Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while assisting with meal preparation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, food safety, and teamwork, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
- Support cooking activities by preparing basic menu items and following established recipes and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen workstations, including counters, sinks, and cooking areas.
- Ensure proper storage of food items according to safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation policies to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors of supplies that need replenishing.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of meal preparation and cooking techniques is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings or weekends if required.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as lifting and cleaning. Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
