Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children to develop and implement individualized behavioral intervention plans that promote positive growth and development. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized programs under the supervision of a Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
- Support communication, social, play, learning, and daily living skills
- Collect session data and complete accurate session notes
- Follow behaviour-support and safety plans
- Communicate professionally with families and supervisors
- Attend required training and supervision meetings
Qualifications
- Must have or be in Undergraduate education in psychology, behavioural science, child and youth care, early childhood education, social services, or a related field is preferred
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental needs is preferred
- 1 Year of ABA experience is required
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it
- Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel to client locations
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a therapeutic or educational setting is highly preferred
- 1 year of ABA experience is needed
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavioral intervention techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to patient care enhances effectiveness in this role
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and documentation are essential for tracking progress accurately
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to engage children and families effectively
Pay: $18.56-$30.00 per hour
