Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Gas Station Attendants (SE Calgary, Mahogany & Mckenzie )to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the gas station. You will assist customers with fueling their vehicles, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Please only apply if you live in the SE area. Shell experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities & Tasks
- Operate cash register
- Process money and credit/debit card payments
- Scan items
- Tabulate the total payment for goods or services required
- Receive payment for goods or services
- Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
- Suggestive selling
- Stock shelves and clean the counter area, and do general cleaning.
- Greet customers
- Participate in promotional activities
- Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with fueling their vehicles.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station, including the fueling area and convenience store.
- Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed attractively.
- Provide product demonstrations and information to customers regarding available products.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about the products offered at the gas station
