Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments.
- Provide scaling and root planing, periodontal therapy, polishing, fluoride treatments, and preventive care.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive practices.
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical records.
- Collaborate with the dentist and team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Follow all infection prevention and sterilization protocols.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience with professionalism and compassion.
Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) licensed and in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and confidence treating a wide variety of patients.
- Excellent communication and patient relationship skills.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Familiarity with major dental insurance providers.
- Experience working with NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits) patients is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with dental practice management software -Abeldent is an asset
