Job Title: G-class Delivery Driver
Location: Oakville, Ontario.
Shifts: Days, 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Rate of Pay: $22.00-$23.00/hour
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Hire
We are hiring a G Class Delivery Driver for our client in Oakville. This company distributes metal and alloy products. Qualified candidates will have a valid G Class Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract and have experience in a similar delivery driving role. This position is a long-term to permanent hire position with a reputable company.
Responsibilities Include:
- Safely deliver metal products to customer locations.
- Load and unload products from vehicle (long-box pick up truck and flatbed truck).
- Complete and provide all required paperwork and driver logs throughout deliveries
- Report any issues or customer concerns with management
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers when delivering products
- Safely drive company vehicles and keep vehicle clean
- Lifting up to 50lbs safely
- Other general duties as assigned
Candidate Qualifications:
- Must be aged 25 years or older (insurance requirement)
- Valid G Class Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
- Willingness to provide a Criminal Record Search
- 2-3 years previous verifiable experience working in a delivery driving role
- Strong knowledge of GTA and surrounding regions is an asset.
- Punctual and reliable and strong English communication skills
- CSA certified safety shoes
- Able to lift up to 50lbs regularly
