Hansen Industries Ltd. is looking to hire an IT Support Technician to join our IT department.
This position works closely with the IT Lead to support the day-to-day technology needs of employees across our office, engineering, warehouse, and production environments.
This position is ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys hands-on technical work and wants to gain experience supporting technology in a manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare and deploy desktop computers, laptops, monitors, docks, and peripherals.
· Assist with employee onboarding and workstation setup.
· Receive, organize, and prepare incoming IT equipment for deployment.
· Maintain inventory of computers, monitors, printers, and other IT equipment.
· Asset tagging and equipment tracking.
· Replace toner cartridges and maintain printer and copier supplies.
· Support printers, copiers, and label printers.
· Install, label, terminate, and test network cabling.
· Maintain patch panels and network closet organization.
· Assist employees with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Office applications.
· Troubleshoot common workstation, software, and peripheral issues.
· Coordinate with the IT Lead on support requests and projects.
The successful candidate should be comfortable performing hands-on work, including computer deployments, printer maintenance, equipment moves, and network cabling installations.
SKILLS REQUIRED
· Diploma, certificate, or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
· 1-3 years of IT support experience preferred.
· Experience supporting Windows PCs and peripherals.
· Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
· Experience terminating and testing network cabling is an asset.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Good communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
· Valid driver's license.
WORKING HOURS
· Monday to Friday
· 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
