Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proficiency with Fanuc controls, and experience in CNC programming and machining. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce precise components according to specifications. Duties
- Operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc-controlled equipment, ensuring accurate production of parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files using SolidWorks and other CAD tools
- Program CNC lathes using CNC programming languages to meet production specifications
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC machinery
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and quality standards
- Set up machining operations by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and hand tools
- Conduct basic math calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements
- Assist in assembly processes when required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience with CNC lathe operation and programming
- Mechanical knowledge of machining processes and equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for machining tasks
- Experience with machining tools
- Knowledge of CNC milling machines is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
- Prior experience in manufacturing or metalworking environments is highly desirable
