Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various construction and renovation projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the carpentry field. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Help with the installation of cabinets, flooring, drywall, and tile.
- Support in fabricating structures and fixtures from wood, plywood, and other materials.
- Participate in reading and interpreting schematics to understand project specifications.
- Aid in heavy lifting and moving materials as needed on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while on-site.
Experience
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry.
- Basic knowledge of tile laying, drywall installation, cabinet installation, and flooring installation is preferred.
- Experience with electrical schematics is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks.
- Previous experience in construction or carpentry is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
