Overview
We are looking for a seamstress to support our growing alterations department!
Responsibilities
- Operate sewing machines efficiently to assemble and finish garments with accuracy and care
- Hands-on pinning and interacting with our clients!
- Interpret design specifications and technical drawings to ensure proper garment construction
- Cut fabric pieces precisely according to pattern guidelines, maintaining quality standards
- Sew, hem, and assemble various clothing items, paying close attention to detail and consistency
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to identify and correct defects
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with safety and manufacturing protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while upholding craftsmanship standards
Experience
- Proficiency with sewing machines and serging machines
- Understanding and experience with repairs like hemming, tapering, zipper replacements, and more.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and follow detailed specifications accurately
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and commitment to producing high-quality work
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.75-$25.00 per hour
