This position is ideal for individuals looking to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, beginning the weekend of July 31, 2026.
Weekend Security Guards can expect to work 0 to 30 hours per week, depending on operational needs and shift availability.
Weekend assignments include a variety of security work, including special events, industrial, commercial, retail, and healthcare settings. Employees who are interested in working one-to-one with residents in Long-Term Care homes may have opportunities for additional shifts and the potential to transition into regular part-time or full-time employment.

Availability Requirements
This position is intended for employees who are regularly available to work:
Applicants must also be available to work at least two of the following shift types:
Typical shifts range from 4 to 12 hours, depending on client needs.
Security Guard Responsibilities
- Provide professional security services at a variety of client locations.
- Protect people, property, and client assets.
- Conduct patrols and monitor access control where required.
- Monitor surveillance and alarm systems.
- Respond professionally to incidents and emergencies.
- Complete accurate reports and required documentation.
- Enforce client policies and site procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
- Employees interested in Long-Term Care may also have opportunities to provide one-to-one security support for residents requiring additional supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification (Red Cross or equivalent).
- Valid driver's licence.
- Reliable transportation to travel to assigned client sites.
- Ability to travel to client locations including Sarnia, Grand Bend, Petrolia, Wallaceburg, Chatham, and surrounding communities as operationally required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Please note: Before accepting Long-Term Care assignments, employees must provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Check dated within the past six (6) months, and a recent 2-Step TB Test.
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience is considered an asset:
- Previous Security Guard experience.
- Experience working in healthcare, Long-Term Care, hospitals, retirement homes, or with seniors.
- Experience providing excellent customer service.
Training
Successful candidates assigned to Long-Term Care homes will receive Long-Term Care orientation and training before beginning those assignments.
