Looking for an opportunity to add research experience to your resume? PRA Inc., a national market research company, is looking to hire an outgoing person to fill a casual position as a fieldwork agent conducting in-person surveys of departing passengers at Billy Bishop Airport, located near downtown Toronto.
Fieldwork agents will be approaching airport passengers post-security and asking passengers at random to complete an Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey. The survey will be self-completed by passengers on electronic tablets. To gain access to the passenger hold room past security, fieldwork agents will be required to apply for security clearance at the Billy Bishop Airport pass office before data collection can begin. Fieldwork agents can begin on a temporary pass issued by the airport but will need to complete the full clearance within a few weeks of being hired.
To conduct shifts in accordance with the airport’s flight schedule, shifts will be scheduled at various times of the day and days of the week, with shifts beginning as early as 5 AM or ending as late as 9 PM. Shifts will typically range from 3 to 5 hours. PRA will work with fieldwork agents to accommodate existing schedules as much as possible, that is, we will try to work with your other commitments to schedule times that work for you. Although there is no guarantee of hours, fieldwork agents should expect to work 2 to 4 shifts per month on an as needed basis.
This work will be completed on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate will begin the airport clearance application process as soon as possible once hired and interviewing will begin in July 2026 once clearance has been granted. Job applicants must:
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Have no criminal record or outstanding issues that may prevent passing an airport security check
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable talking with others in English
- Be comfortable working with data collection using electronic tablets
- Be able to work independently
- Have the flexibility to work 3 to 5-hour shifts at various times of the day and days of the week
- Have reliable transportation to and from Billy Bishop Airport (2 Eireann Quay, Toronto, ON)
Interviewers will receive $35 per hour.
