CHIN Radio Ottawa (CJLL 97.9FM) is seeking a full‑time Production Operator to support daily broadcast operations. We are looking for someone reliable, technically strong, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced broadcast environment.
Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble programs to exact timing requirements
- Operate on‑air consoles and automation systems (MediaTouch)
- Monitor live broadcasts and respond quickly to technical issues
- Edit promos, commercials, and program audio
- Maintain daily logs and regulatory records
- Escalate issues immediately when timing or content problems arise
- Communicate clearly with hosts, producers, and management
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must have own car, fully insured, with a full G driver’s license
- Good people skills and strong communication
- Good technical knowledge
- Previous experience with on‑air automation systems
- Excellent computer skills (asset)
- Bilingualism (English–French) an asset
- Must be able to provide previous employment references
Assets
- Experience with MediaTouch
- Audio editing experience (Adobe Audition or similar)
- Multilingual abilities
- On‑air or studio experience
Schedule
Full‑time and on‑call availability as required by station operations.
Some evenings and weekends may be required.
