Position: Full-Time Security Supervisor
Site: Long Term Care Facility - Dundas
Hours: Monday - Friday (0700-1500)
Payrate: $21/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, mentor, and support Security Guards during assigned shifts.

Ensure all security personnel comply with site policies, procedures, and company standards.

Conduct regular patrols and provide assistance with incident response and investigations.

Act as the primary point of contact for security-related issues and escalate situations as required.

Coordinate and deploy staff effectively to meet operational requirements.

Provide exceptional customer service and assist individuals experiencing stress, conflict, or medical emergencies.

Conduct investigations, review CCTV footage, and follow up on security incidents and concerns.

Ensure accurate completion of daily logs, occurrence reports, and shift documentation.

Review and approve reports completed by Security Guards to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Respond to emergency situations and provide leadership during critical incidents.

Assist with training, coaching, and performance management of security personnel.

Support administrative functions and other site-specific duties.

Maintain effective communication with hospital/site management, emergency responders, and internal stakeholders.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Valid Ontario Security Guard License.

Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.

Immunization records for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, COVID-19 (two doses), and a two-step TB skin test.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Minimum 1 year of healthcare security experience.

Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Diploma or Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, Border Services, or a related field is considered an asset.

Ability to maintain a clean-shaven face to pass an N95 mask fit test.

Physically capable of standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods.

Strong leadership, conflict resolution, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with incident investigations, report writing, and CCTV systems.

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's (UOF) & (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare, security, law enforcement, or emergency services environment.

Knowledge of healthcare security procedures, emergency response protocols, and customer service best practices.

Experience scheduling staff, conducting shift briefings, and supporting operational planning.
