Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Special Event Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property during various events. The ideal candidate will have a strong presence, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to high stakes scenarios. This role is vital in maintaining a safe environment and providing peace of mind for all event participants.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the event area to deter misconduct and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Screen attendees and manage access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies, including crowd control issues or disturbances.
- Collaborate with event staff and law enforcement when necessary to enforce rules and handle incidents.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of any security-related occurrences during events.
- Enforce loss prevention measures to protect property and assets from theft or damage.
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with attendees, staff, and emergency responders.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally.
- Must be able to pass background checks and any required security clearances.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or special event dates as needed. This position offers an opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of large gatherings while working in a dynamic environment that values professionalism and vigilance.
- Must possess valid Ontario Security Guard license.
- Must posses smart serve certification.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.10-$21.00 per hour
