Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them reduce stress, alleviate pain, and improve overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of medical terminology to effectively assess client needs and deliver personalized treatments. Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, utilizing various techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, or sports massage.
- Certification in Lymphatic drainage and TMJ massage is considered an asset.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ health history and discuss treatment goals to develop personalized therapy plans.
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend exercises or lifestyle adjustments as needed.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable treatment environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently to maximize client satisfaction and clinic operations.
- Stay current with industry best practices and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist with valid licensure or certification to practice in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to health conditions and treatment plans.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining procedures, listening actively, and providing clear guidance.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in promoting client wellness.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple appointments efficiently.
