NIGHT AUDITOR
The Hotel at Claramount Club | Picton, Prince Edward County, ON
Full-Time | 4 overnight shifts per week (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
ABOUT US
The Hotel at Claramount Club is a 21-room boutique luxury property in the heart of Prince Edward County, featuring The Foundry and Delphine restaurants, PECish bakery and café, and a private membership program. We take pride in delivering warm, polished hospitality at every touchpoint, at every hour.
THE ROLE
As our Night Auditor, you are the guardian of the property overnight: part front desk agent, part watchful presence. You'll balance the day's business, perform administrative tasks to ensure a smooth day the following day, care for late arrivals and overnight guest needs, and ensure the property is safe, tidy, and ready for the morning team. This role suits someone who is self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable being the calm, capable point person when the property is quiet.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies; document any variances for the morning team
- Prepare and distribute daily reports (occupancy, revenue, arrivals/departures) for management
- Process no-shows and late cancellations per policy
- Balance the front desk float and complete the overnight cash count
- Prepare guest arrival items for the following day
- Follow up on guest emails, reviews, and outstanding tasks in the inbox, creating a clean slate for the following day
- Finalize and send out the Daily Management report
Front Desk & Guest Services
- Welcome late arrivals and handle overnight check-ins, check-outs, and guest requests with the same warmth as our day team
- Answer phones and respond to guest messages via Akia
- Handle guest concerns overnight with sound judgment, documenting in detail for management to follow up on the following day
Property Care & Security
- Conduct scheduled security walks of the property, including guest floors, public spaces, and exterior areas; log rounds and report any concerns
- Monitor property access and ensure doors and facilities are secured
- Perform light housekeeping of the lobby and public areas so the property is guest-ready at sunrise
- Respond to safety or maintenance issues overnight, following emergency procedures and notifying the appropriate contacts
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Prior night audit or hotel front desk experience preferred; Cloudbeds (or comparable PMS) experience is a strong asset
- Comfort working independently overnight with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and basic accounting/reconciliation skills
- Warm, professional communication in person, by phone, and in writing
- Sound judgment and calm under pressure, especially when handling guest issues or unexpected situations alone
- Reliability is essential: this role anchors the property overnight
- Ability to stand, walk the property, and lift up to 25 lbs
