Kids Skating, Hockey & Sports Instructor Position
We are looking to expand our team by adding versatile, engaging and passionate instructors who enjoy working with kids. We have a variety of programs including skating, hockey, t-ball, soccer and multi-sport for a range of ages starting at age 2+.
Instruction would include:
- Pre-Skate Program - Learn to skate for ages 2-4yo & 5yo+. Starting on our synthetic ice and then transitioning to our real ice.
- Beginner Skating Program - Learn to skate for ages 3yo+ on our real ice.
- Intro to Hockey Program - Learn to play for ages 2-4yo & 5yo+. Starting on our synthetic ice and then transitioning to our real ice.
- Intro to Sports Program - Multi sport program giving kids ages 2-4yo & 5-8yo a taste of various sports throughout the sessions.
- On-Ice Hockey Team Development programs for ages 3/4, 5/6, 7-9 & 9-12y.
- Power Skating and Skill Development programs
- Off-Ice Shooting Clinics
- Intro to T-Ball and Coach Pitch Programs
- Intro to Soccer Program
- Summer Day Camps
Requirements:
- Experience leading or assisting on-ice skating/hockey development for kids
- Responsible for ensuring safe and caring environment
- Enjoy working with children and communicating with others
- Responsible for engaging participants in fun, enjoyable and educational skating & hockey experiences
- Strong leadership skills
- Outgoing
- Enthusiastic
- Strong communication skills
- Organized
- Ability to lesson plan
- Experience working with children
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Criminal background & vulnerable sector check
- Strong Skating & Hockey Skills
Part-time
Must be available evenings & weekends for the majority of the year and then daytime during the Summer (July/August).
Hours available to work front end as well. (customer service, cashier, cleaning, birthday party lead, etc.)
