Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista and Cashier to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, serving pizza, fresh paninis and hot table foods, providing excellent customer service, and managing transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for our customers. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards
- Prepare display and serve food items varying from pastries to pizza and paninis
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash transactions, give correct change, and manage credit/debit card payments with precision
- Maintain cleanliness of the service area, equipment, and utensils in accordance with food safety standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items when needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without sacrificing quality
- Restock supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Requirements
- Proficiency in Italian is an asset
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred; familiarity with serving and food preparation is a plus
- Experience operating POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy hours
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or holidays if needed

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
