Positive Mind Wellness Inc. is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and bilingual French-English Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker to join our growing private practice at our Nepean location.
We are looking for a clinician who has a genuine passion for working with children and families and who has experience using play therapy and other child-focused therapeutic approaches.

The Opportunity
This is an in-person clinical position at our Nepean location, with a compensation structure of:
65% to the therapist / 35% to the clinic
The successful candidate will provide psychotherapy services primarily to children and youth, while working collaboratively with parents and families when clinically appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy to children and adolescents
- Utilize play therapy and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Complete assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation
- Support children experiencing emotional, behavioural, social, and mental health challenges
- Collaborate with parents/caregivers as appropriate to support treatment goals
- Maintain professional, ethical, and confidential clinical records
- Develop individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans
- Maintain professional standards in accordance with the clinician's regulatory college
- Participate as a collaborative member of the Positive Mind Wellness clinical team
Required Qualifications
- Fluent/bilingual in both French and English – REQUIRED
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and/or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, or a related clinical field, where applicable to professional registration
- Experience providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents
- Experience and/or formal training in play therapy
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently within a private-practice environment
- Professional liability insurance
- Ability and willingness to provide in-person services at our Nepean clinic
Preferred Qualifications
The following would be considered assets:
- Additional training or certification in Play Therapy
- Experience working with anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioural concerns, ADHD, trauma, self-esteem, social skills, or family-related concerns
- Experience working collaboratively with parents and caregivers
- Experience providing psychotherapy in a private-practice setting
- Training in CBT, DBT-informed interventions, attachment-based approaches, trauma-informed therapy, or other evidence-based modalities
- Availability for some after-school, evening, or weekend appointments
