This job opportunity is ideal for someone who is interested in entering the automotive field and working towards an apprenticeship position. Could be a good fit for someone interested in joining the apprenticeship field, Canadian Tire does offer full sponsorship through the program.
Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Changing oil
- Installing tires
- Performing minor repairs
- Administering drive clean emission tests
- Changing light bulbs
- Servicing transmissions
- Installing windshield wipers
- Completing basic tune ups
- Maintaining neatness/ cleanliness of bays
- Following department/ store policies
- Participating in training, as required
- Observing health and safety regulations
- Completing other tasks, as required
Minimum requirements:
- Valid B.C. driver’s license
- Able to lift repeatedly 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for a period of 8 hours
- Able to work in a noisy environment
- Able to bend/reach repeatedly throughout the shift
