About the Company
BiziSul is a leading manufacturer of fertilizer products, operating 24/7 to supply customers across North America. Our logistics team manages shipments using Sage 300, coordinating product movements through various stockpile locations and working with both in-house and third-party carriers.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Operations Manager and President, The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound product shipments, ensuring efficient transportation of fertilizer and other commodities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and handling customer invoicing. This role requires strong coordination with internal teams, external carriers, and customers, to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination & Tracking
- Schedule and coordinate shipments with in-house and third-party carriers
- Monitor shipping activities and provide real-time updates to customers
- International shipping and Brokerage
- Intermodal Freight
- Ensure compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations for fertilizer and other commodities
- Coordinate with sistercompany Bizi Transport on inbound/outbound shipments to maximize in-house utilization
- Update and coordinate shipments with customers and BiziSul accounts team
Inventory & Document Management
- Utilize Sage 300 to manage inventory levels across multiple stockpile locations
- Maintain accurate records for customs, compliance, and internal reporting
Customer Invoicing & Financial Planning
- Prepare and process customer invoices in Sage 300 for shipped loads
- Verify proof of Delivery (POD) before finalizing invoices
- Work with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies related to invoicing or shipments
- Work with accounting team to ensure AP/AR are aligned with customer shipments and invoicing
Carrier & Compliance Management
- Work with existing carriers to optimize shipping routes, costs, and efficiency
- Ensure adherence to US and Canadian shipping regulations (CBSA, DOT, etc.)
- Handle cross-border logistics for shipments to the US from Canada
- Identify and engage with prospective carriers to improve BiziSul's carrier portfolio
- Accessing and assessing carriers with the most cost-effective means of safely transporting finished goods
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 3+ years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with bulk product shipments, TDG, and cross-border freight
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in Sage 300 for inventory and invoicing
- Certifications (Preferred): CITT, SCMP, or relevant logistics training
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities
Schedule: Monday to Friday with flexible availability for shipping/receiving needs
