Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice. This position offers a valuable opportunity to learn and develop essential skills in wet chemical fire protection while working under the guidance of experienced professionals. Transition to full time is possible with gained experience
Duties
- driving company vehicle from office to various job sites around Greater Vancouver Area
- Learn fire extinguisher, emergency lighting and fire suppression system annual/semi annual inspections through hands-on experience
- Assist with installing new restaurant kitchen fire suppression systems
- Utilize hand tools for various mechanical jobs
-learn to operate threading machine to cut and thread pipes
-support technician with attending service calls
-opertunity to become certified fire protection technician
-average of 24 hours of work per week
Experience
Required:
- Interest in learning and developing trade skills
-work well in a team environment
-class 5 drivers license (5 or more years of cleaning driving record highly preferred)
-legal to work in Canada
-be able to lift 40 lbs
-be able to work on ladders
-be able to communicate clearly in English
-criminal record check and driving abstract submitted before hire confirmation
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
