Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Baker to join our bakery team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in baking, food preparation, and kitchen operations. As an Apprentice Baker, you will learn the art of cake decorating, food handling, and bakery packaging while supporting the daily production of baked goods. Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes
- Support cake decorating and presentation to ensure visually appealing products
- Help with food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients and mixing batters
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, adhering to food safety standards
- Package baked items for retail display or customer orders with attention to quality and presentation
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and ingredients
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers or assisting in retail areas
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bakery, or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and baking techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with cake decorating, food safety standards, and packaging processes is a plus
- Strong interest in developing skills within the food industry and willingness to learn new techniques
- Excellent attention to detail, teamwork skills, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role
Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
