Key Responsibilities
- Barista Service: Prepare high-quality espresso drinks, pour-overs, and seasonal beverages with consistency and speed.
- Guest Engagement: Provide top-tier customer service, greeting guests, taking orders, and answering questions about our menu.
- Floor Management: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, clear tables, and ensure the café remains inviting throughout the shift.
- POS Operation: Accurately process transactions, handle payments, and manage the digital ordering system.
- Support & Cleanliness: Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness behind the bar and in the front-of-house.
What You Bring
- Barista Experience: Solid experience with espresso machines and milk steaming—you know your way around a portafilter.
- Hospitality Pro: You are naturally friendly, approachable, and able to handle a rush with a smile.
- Reliability: You are dependable and ready to work a flexible schedule, including both weekdays and weekends.
- Team Player: You’re happy to jump in wherever needed to keep the café running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Serving It Right certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of professional barista or specialty coffee experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
- Local to Penticton or the surrounding area.
