The Role & Key Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you are the face and voice of our hospital. You will work directly with the public, closely collaborating with our veterinary technicians and veterinarians to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Client Communications: Greeting clients, answering multi-line phones with a positive attitude, and managing the clinic email with clarity and professionalism.
- Appointment Management: Coordinating and optimizing the daily schedule for appointments and surgeries.
- Financial Operations: Managing front-desk billing, invoicing, processing payments, and auditing daily transactions.
- Medical Records: Maintaining accurate, up-to-date client and patient records within our practice management system.
- Client Education: Providing clear instructions for follow-up treatments, managing food/prescription pickups, and relaying messages from the medical team.
- Clinic Flow: Ensuring the reception area, lobby, and front desk remain clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Qualifications & Skills
- Veterinary Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working in a veterinary environment required (to ensure familiarity with veterinary terminology, basic triage, and clinic workflows).
- Education: Completion of a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Medical Receptionist program is a strong asset, but equivalent on-the-job clinic experience is highly valued.
- Customer Service: 1 year of dedicated customer service or front desk experience is preferred.
- Core Strengths: Exceptional ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, and a reliable, positive attitude.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
