We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Dairy Automation and Equipment Service Technician.
Position Overview
- As an On-The-Road Service Technician, the candidate will be expected to provide technical services to our dairy customers throughout Manitoba.
- This position provides an opportunity to work in a wide range of different technical fields including mechanical, electrical, IT, electronics, automation, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- The primary daily work environment is a Dairy Barn, so be prepared, your hands will get dirty!
- Candidates will be expected to report to the shop for scheduled meetings, completion of paperwork and preparation for service calls.
- Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with good flexibility. Depending on the nature of the service call, overtime can be expected. Work hours can vary from day to day and out-of-town work can be expected from time to time.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing preventive maintenance on milking robots, milking parlors, milk sampling units and other peripheral dairy barn equipment
- Troubleshooting and fixing said equipment in a time efficient matter when issues arise.
- Working individually, or as part of a team, on service calls and/or preventative maintenance as required.
- Keeping accurate records of the time worked and parts/equipment used to complete descriptive work orders of the technical service provided.
- Responding to After Hours Service Calls, as part of a 24 Hour On-Call Rotation, once sufficient training has been provided. (The candidate will respond to service calls after hours for the week and will be off during the day. Further details will be discussed in the interview.)

- Has a demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form - Required.
If the candidate should have an agricultural background or previous experience working in a farm setting, this would be an asset!
