Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals passionate about food service and the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene
- Assist with food plating and presentation for service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support the team during busy hours by managing multiple tasks effectively
- Ensure all food products are stored correctly and rotated appropriately
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food service setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is a plus but not mandatory for motivated learners
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay: $15.63-$17.50 per hour
