New West Metals Inc. is a growing metal service center. As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
In the role of Sales Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team by providing exceptional customer service, processing quotations and orders, managing customer inquiries, and coordinating with purchasing, operations, and logistics to ensure customer requirements are met. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and helps drive sales growth through proactive account support and relationship management.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and in person
- Review customer requirements, specifications, and delivery expectations
- Respond to inquiries regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and product information, finding solutions for customers
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and support account retention efforts
- Conduct proactive customer outreach to generate additional sales opportunities
- Enter and maintain customer orders within the ERP system
- Coordinate order fulfillment with warehouse, operations, and shipping teams
- Monitor open orders and communicate status updates to customers
- Resolve order discrepancies, shipping issues, and customer concerns
- Work closely with purchasing to source material for customer requirements
- Maintain awareness of market conditions and product availability
- Prepare sales reports and customer analyses as required
Qualifications and Core Competencies
- 2+ years of customer service, sales, or sales support experience
- Experience in metals, industrial distribution, manufacturing, construction, or related industries is considered an asset
- Contributes positively to team performance and company culture
- Effectively manages multiple priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrates resourcefulness and sound judgment
- Demonstrates a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Responds quickly and professionally to customer needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
