What You’ll Do
● Oversee day-to-day operations of the equipment and materials shop, ensuring tools, machinery, vehicles, and materials are maintained, organized, and ready for project use.
● Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs and servicing, and maintain accurate records of usage, maintenance, and repairs.
● Manage inventory, procurement, and cost-effective purchasing of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and shop supplies.
● Coordinate with project teams to understand equipment and material needs and ensure timely delivery to job sites.
● Ensure shop operations meet safety regulations and Con-Pro safety standards, including regular inspections, issue resolution, and staff training on equipment use and safety protocols.
● Manage company vehicle assignments, records, maintenance coordination, and availability.
● Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, equipment breakdowns, vendor delays, or delivery challenges that could impact project schedules.
● Oversee shop, grounds, and office maintenance, including snow removal, ice management, and other seasonal site needs.
What You Bring
Experience - 5+ years managing a construction equipment shop or similar role
Technical Knowledge - Strong knowledge of construction tools, machinery, and vehicle maintenance
Leadership - Experience supervising shop staff and coordinating repairs and maintenance
Organization -Excellent organizational and inventory management skills
Safety -Understanding safety regulations and experience implementing safety protocols in a shop environment
Problem-Solving -Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Systems - Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Communication -Strong communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating with project teams and external vendors
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
