Job Overview
D Spot Franchising Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate Auditor & Compliance Officer responsible for conducting live on-site audits and enforcing operational compliance and brand standards across franchise locations throughout Canada and the United States. This role ensures all D Spot Dessert Café locations consistently meet company expectations, food safety requirements, sanitation standards, health regulations, and operational procedures. The Corporate Auditor & Compliance Officer will provide same-day audit findings and corrective action requirements directly to franchisees and management while helping maintain brand integrity, operational consistency, and compliance across the growing D Spot franchise system.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Auditing & Compliance• Conduct comprehensive live on-site audits at franchise locations across Canada, the United States, and future international markets as required.
- Evaluate compliance with D Spot operational standards, brand guidelines, food safety protocols, health regulations, sanitation requirements, and customer service expectations.
- Inspect all operational areas including:
- • Food preparation and storage
- Cleanliness and sanitation
- Employee hygiene and food handling practices
- Health and safety procedures
- Product quality and presentation
- Operational consistency
- Brand image and in-store standards
- Ensure franchise locations are operating in accordance with company policies, franchise agreements, and applicable local, provincial/state, and federal regulations.
- Identify operational deficiencies, non-compliance issues, and risks requiring immediate correction.
Audit Reporting & Corrective Actions• Provide live audit feedback and same-day audit results directly to franchisees and management.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, deficiencies, compliance scores, required corrective actions, and timelines for resolution.
- Require franchisees to provide immediate explanations, supporting documentation, and action plans for identified concerns.
- Monitor corrective action completion and follow up to ensure issues are resolved within company timelines.
- Escalate unresolved compliance concerns or repeated violations to senior management when necessary.
Brand Standards Enforcement• Ensure all franchise locations maintain consistent D Spot brand standards and operational excellence.
- Monitor compliance with approved recipes, menu presentation, cleanliness standards, service expectations, and overall guest experience requirements.
- Ensure all locations comply with health inspection standards, food safety regulations, and workplace safety requirements.
- Conduct ongoing evaluations to protect brand integrity and operational consistency across all franchise locations.
Communication & Collaboration• Work closely with the General Manager regarding franchise compliance performance, recurring operational concerns, and audit outcomes.
- Maintain professional communication with franchisees while enforcing company standards and expectations.
- Provide recommendations to improve operational performance, compliance, and consistency across the franchise system.
- Maintain accurate audit records, documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Food Service Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in auditing, compliance, quality assurance, franchise operations, or restaurant management.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and health regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to professionally enforce policies and compliance standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and audit reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage extensive travel schedules.

- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively across Canada, the United States, and other international markets as required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required based on audit schedules and operational needs.
- Ability to conduct audits in fast-paced restaurant environments and maintain professionalism under pressure.
