The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for serving customers in person or on the telephone at the Davidson Centre. This position will assist with the coordination of registration activities and respond to customer inquiries.
Location: Davidson Centre
Reporting To: Recreation Supervisor
Responsibilities:
1. Respond to in-person or telephone customer inquiries to provide program or operations information, and resolve problems
2. Register participants for programs, collect registration fees, and provide the required information
3. Respond to rental inquiries to explain processes and timelines, provide information and the forms required for booking applications as well as complete bookings as requested in booking software
4. Set up customer accounts and memberships and verify the accuracy of information
5. Assist with administrative duties such as record keeping, report writing and cash deposits
6. Complete website content updates as required
7. Provide tours of the facility and answer questions as necessary
8. Provide back-up for the Administrative Assistant - Recreation
9. Adhere to Municipality of Kincardine corporate policies and procedures
10. Complete other duties as assigned by Management
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Post-Secondary education in Business, Office Administration, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of recreational programming is considered an asset
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR C certificate is required
Required Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Experience with Keystone and/or Active Net would be considered an asset
- Strong computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
- Previous experience handling cash
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to solve problems effectively and adapt to changing priorities
- Good time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Demonstrated work history that highlights teamwork and a positive attitude

- Group 2 (Step 1 - $22.48/hr - Step 5 $28.10/hr)
- Anticipated Start Date is mid-September 2026
