Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Assistant to support our manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic production environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, ERP systems, and supply chain management principles. Duties
- Assist in coordinating production schedules using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Support demand planning activities by analyzing inventory levels, production forecasts, and supply chain data.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement lean manufacturing principles aimed at reducing waste and improving efficiency.
- Monitor Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to ensure materials are available for production without excess inventory.
- Help facilitate communication between procurement, production, and logistics departments to streamline operations.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory movements, and system updates within ERP platforms.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on optimizing manufacturing processes and supply chain workflows.
- Provide administrative support related to manufacturing documentation, quality control reports, and system audits.
Experience
- Prior experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies and demand planning concepts is preferred.
- Knowledge of MRP systems and overall supply chain management practices will be advantageous.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) is expected; additional familiarity with ERP modules is a benefit.
