Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Water and Sewer Laborer to support infrastructure maintenance and repair projects. The ideal candidate will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water and sewer systems, ensuring safety and efficiency on job sites. This role offers opportunities to work with various heavy equipment and tools, contributing to essential public utilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with excavation, trenching, and backfilling for water and sewer line installations or repairs
- Physically fit enough to shovel materials for an extended period of time
- Use hand tools and power tools to install, repair, or maintain piping systems and related infrastructure
- Class 5 license with reliable transportation
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, piping systems, and heavy equipment operation
- Experience working around heavy equipment safely
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for construction and repair tasks
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting and positioning heavy materials or equipment
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in construction environments
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to safety standards
This position is vital for maintaining essential water and sewer infrastructure. Candidates should be prepared to work in physically demanding environments while adhering to safety protocols. Prior experience with heavy equipment operation and construction tools is highly valued.
Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
