Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Concrete Finisher to place, level, and finish concrete for slabs, footings, walls, and flatwork. You will work as part of a tight pour crew to produce high-quality, on-spec finishes under tight scheduling windows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Place, spread, screed, float, and trowel concrete to required grade and finish
- Operate power trowels, screeds, and finishing tools safely and effectively
- Set and strip forms, install rebar/mesh, and prepare sub-base as needed
- Apply broom, smooth, exposed aggregate, and other specified finishes
- Cut control joints and apply curing compounds
- Read and work to grade lines, layout, and pour plans
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of concrete finishing experience
- Proficiency with hand and power finishing tools
- Ability to read grade stakes and basic layout
- Physically able to perform heavy labour, bend, kneel, and lift 50+ lbs
- Available for early starts and occasional weekend pours
- Working at Heights and WHMIS an asset
- Reliable transportation to job sites
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Pay: $26.00-$34.00 per hour
Work Location: In person, project sites (Hamilton, ON area)
