This job is in Waskesiu Lake, SK. We are currently looking for kitchen staff to join us for our 2026 summer season. We are hiring experienced prep cooks, line cooks, catering cooks, dishwashers, and more. This is a seasonal position and runs from mid-May to the end of September. Employees will be laid-off at the end of the season. Please send a resume if you are interested in applying.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure quality.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or the restaurant industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that exceed guest expectations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
