Job Description
United Home Renovations - Cleaning Services Division is hiring reliable and detail-oriented part-time cleaners for a recurring multi-site commercial cleaning contract in South Calgary.
The client and exact facility locations will remain confidential during the initial recruitment stage. Selected candidates will receive full site details before onboarding.
Available Schedules
Schedule A – Two Positions Available
- Monday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Approximately 24 hours per week
Schedule B – One Position Available
- Monday: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- Tuesday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Approximately 24 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Clean entrances, lobbies, hallways, corridors, stairwells, landings and other common areas
- Sweep, vacuum, damp mop and perform routine floor care
- Spot-clean carpets as required
- Clean elevators, elevator tracks, doors, glass, handrails and high-touch surfaces
- Clean common washrooms, offices, community rooms, kitchens and laundry areas where assigned
- Clean garbage and chute rooms and remove routine waste to designated disposal areas
- Dust accessible walls, ledges, baseboards, furniture, fixtures, vents and blinds
- Restock approved washroom and janitorial supplies
- Complete scheduled periodic cleaning
- Complete checklists, photographs, time records and service-verification reports
- Promptly report maintenance, access, security, resident and safety concerns
- Follow all company safety procedures and site-specific instructions
- Assist with minor common-area biohazard or sharps cleanup only after receiving the required training
Qualifications
- Previous commercial or residential common-area cleaning experience is preferred
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent cleaning quality
- Able to safely perform physical cleaning duties, including lifting supplies and using stairs
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned South Calgary locations
- Comfortable using a mobile phone for communication, photographs, checklists and time verification
- Willing to complete WHMIS, site orientation and other required safety training
- Must successfully complete any required background or security screening
- Biohazard or sharps-handling training is an asset but not required
