-
Set up, change, and secure bucket and other attachments as required for different tasks on site.
-
Support earthworks activities such as backfilling, grading, and general construction equipment operation as directed.
-
Work collaboratively with rock truck operators, the foreman, and other crew members to coordinate material movement and maintain steady production.

Why Work Here?
You join a crew that offers consistent work in the Calgary area, with opportunities for overtime and extended hours for those who want to maximize their earnings. You receive weekly pay, along with accommodation and living-out allowance support when needed, helping to reduce out-of-pocket expenses while on assignment. Strong performers can secure continued work on future projects, creating a pathway to longer-term stability and ongoing development of heavy equipment skills.
Work Environment
You work as part of a field crew of approximately four contractors under site supervision, operating on a new outdoor construction site located on the southwest. The project includes one foreman and two rock truck operators working in tandem with the excavator operator to move material efficiently. You typically work 10–12 hours per day on a 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. shift, with overtime paid after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week. The role is entirely outdoors in a heavy civil construction environment, involving exposure to changing weather conditions, uneven ground, and active equipment. You regularly operate a 335 excavator and may also work with skid steers, Bobcats, backhoes, loaders, and dozers as required. The site follows structured safety procedures and supervision, and you are expected to wear appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment suitable for a construction site.
