General Accountability
The Shop Technician Assistant – Inspection SUMMER STUDENT is accountable for cleaning performance drilling motor components and drilling tools for inspection, as well as cleaning and maintaining the Inspection work area. This is a physical job that will require working overtime, some weekends, and some holidays.
Specific Accountabilities (not all-inclusive)
- Pressure wash all Velocity tools and tubulars (collars, subs, pony’s).
- Empty all trash cans daily.
- Wash down floors in both MPI & LPI inspection areas.
- Load and unload protector washer.
- Assist other departments with various projects when time permits.
- Perform all duties so as to meet the responsibilities listed in the Employee and Corporate HSE Handbooks.
- Perform duties according to the Company’s quality system procedures and work instructions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Detail oriented individual with solid organization and communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Reliable transportation
- Oil and gas industry experience an asset
- As a safety sensitive position, this role requires functional English skills (reading, writing, listening, and comprehension) for:
*Proper understanding of one’s job, safety-related training, alerts, policies, procedures, and instructions
*Reading and understanding all corporate-related compliance documents, procedures and policies
