Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Roofer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems while assisting with various construction tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and repair of roofing materials using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, metal sheets, and insulation components
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Use caulking guns to seal joints and prevent leaks effectively
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, sheathing, or other structural work as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work site by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and following safety protocols
- Help with general labour duties including loading/unloading materials and assisting skilled tradespeople
Experience
- Prior construction experience or hands-on work in a building environment preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and measuring tapes
- Experience in carpentry or handyman work is advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Basic knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing applications
