Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance to seniors, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Administer medications accurately and monitor health conditions.
- Support clients with daily activities such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided.
- Foster a respectful and compassionate environment for all clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Uphold safety standards and company policies at all times.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Personal Support Worker or in a similar caregiving role, especially within assisted living or nursing home settings.
- Strong knowledge of senior care practices, including dementia and medication management.
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate nature.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid certification or license as required by provincial regulations.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is an asset.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs.
