Senior Bookkeeper – Construction & Project Accounting
Pinnacle Glass and Aluminum Ltd. is a growing glazing contractor based in Surrey, BC, specializing in architectural glass and aluminum solutions for commercial, residential, institutional, and multi-family projects throughout British Columbia.
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Bookkeeper to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting function.
This is a part-time position (24–32 hours per week, approximately 3–4 days per week) with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as the company continues to grow.
The successful candidate will work directly with ownership and be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, project costing, month-end reporting, payroll, GST reporting, and providing timely financial information to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the company's day-to-day accounting using QuickBooks Online.
- Process accounts payable and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Record customer payments and maintain accounts receivable records.
- Accurately allocate all revenue and expenses using QuickBooks Online Projects.
- Maintain accurate job costing and project profitability reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts.
- Process payroll and prepare payroll remittances.
- Prepare GST returns and government remittances.
- Complete monthly closing procedures and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly management reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash position, project profitability, GST payable, payroll remittances, and estimated corporate tax payable.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with the company's external CPA for year-end financial statements and corporate tax filings.
- Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online is required.
- Extensive hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online Projects (Project Tracking) is required.
- Strong understanding of construction job costing and project accounting.
- Experience processing payroll and preparing payroll remittances.
- Experience preparing GST returns.
- Experience completing month-end close and preparing monthly financial statements.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation: $32.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
